Child's play

In my analysis, two worlds are possible. Two versions of reality, based on the direction of the inner psychodynamic we choose to follow.
The inner light is covered by the shadow, the conscious becomes unconscious, through the instance of the ego in what Lacan has called the mirror-stage. This is the original repression.
Once this mastery over the natural feeling has installed its authority, it will try to keep it, and generally, succeeds in this aim.
I find it strange that the world is a place so filled with roles and opportunities for this repressive instance to exercise its force and live a life that is labeled as that of the ānormalā neurotic. Lives that we call āsuccessfulā.
Lacan calls this field of roles and opportunities the field of the Other. The Other does not have an absolute form or validity. It is a consensus reality. It is a culture. So, there are many cultures, many collections of roles to choose from.
Since Lacan has promoted the role of language in the tradition of the roles, I have made the small side-step to the concept of a programming language, a code, a code of conduct perhaps.
In so doing, I have taken the next logical step, and that is to compare the ānormalā neurotic person with a machine, with a robot eternally pressing down its energies, according to what the social role demands. Repressing its energies according to the personality it has chosen to give form and substance to.
I find it very fascinating that we live in a collection of cultures, where the prescriptions for the social conduct are so diverse, and yet relative.
Who determines them?
Today, we see that most of the roles that are available, in the end serve only the shadow itself. There seems to be nothing more to do or to be for humanity than the curse of its ego.
Let us plunder the amazon, let us poison nature, let us rape that girl, let us set that car on fire, let us rob that liquor store, let us steal those peopleās computer, let us invade that country, let us beat up that guy, let us extort and starve Third World countries⦠Games like children invent and agree on, but games of the devil.
So what we can do, if we think about it, is not always so beautiful. We speak of ethics and temptation, but usually, too often anyways, we choose a destructive aim. We choose power, we choose killing, we choose our selves. We choose the devil, we cast a shadow.
And the world of today is full of demonic games agreed on and deals sealed with the devil. Everywhere we see murder, war, destruction. Death, the spilling of blood, the poisoning of species, and those are the roles we can play, that is the opportunity offered, that is our culture as a race and the field of the Other that Lacan wanted to praise so much as a safe haven for our kind.
But I do not like the idea of the human being as a killing, raping, poisoning, conspiring kind of robot, set on the continuous and eternal destruction of his own soul, his own light, love and energy.
And I believe the time is now for humanity to awaken to its heart and to question its own sanity. Is neurosis really ānormalā, or is it insanity after all?
If we take a close look at the way the human being is organized and built up, we see that we choose different destructive roles in order to serve the ego, which is, in the end, only about forever destroying our true nature, our true selves, our true core and being, consciousness.
So we are all about destroying consciousness, in the material world on the outside just like in the more subtle realms of spirit and energy within.
Is this not sad?
Is it a doom?
Are we cursed?
Should we change?
Can we?
Forever and eternally, we are in the center of our being one with creation, we are conscious just like the world we inhabit. We are consciousness, pure consciousness, created perfectly in the image of god. Call it Gaia, call it the Universal Field, or call it Emptiness, it is pure consciousness, pure awareness. It is the truth and foundation of all that exists. And we are part of its creation in this world.
So why are we so demonic? And need we be?
We can make different choices I believe. We can follow our hearts and seek a higher awareness. We can create different roles within our cultures. Caretakers, veterinarians, nurses, firemen. We can choose to be something different than a killing machine.
We can plant trees, we can feed the bees and in so doing, we will be opening a world of opportunities for growth within as without. There will be life in our hearts, there will be wings of joy around our shoulders.
We can choose not to hide, we can choose to be honest. We can choose pride and justice, protecting and serving, we can choose to cherish truth and live it.
For there is no third way. Either it is the light, or it is the darkness. Either it is love, or it is fear. Either it is the soul, or it becomes the shadow. Either it is god, or it is the devil.
And the roles we can choose from, who do they feed? Do they feed the light, or do they feed the darkness? What do they grow? Truth, or illusion?
And what world do we want to live in?
So if the devil invents some games, like children do, is he a child then too?
Is the devil a child of god?
And can he still come home, if he wants to?
